| The Fantoni secondary school is a modern formative structure, which is able to satisfy the requirements of formation, increase and professional updating of students who, for the first time, run into the world of the job and who search a requalification or a deepening of already acquired competences. The Institute of art Andrea Fantoni, only in its kind in Bergamo and Province, in its years of activity has had a remarkable part in the artistic formation of many young natives of Bergamo brilliantly asserted in the field of art and of the pictorial decoration. The course of studies of secondary school, after the first three years supplies the Master of Arts, while the prosecution of studies of the biennium concurs to achieve the high school diploma of applied arts. The subjects of the course of studies are those which characterize the artistic address of the school (history of art, geometric and architectonic design, technology, professional design, planning, practices of laboratory), are subjects of cross-curricular character. Three years: it concurs to achieve the diploma of Master of Arts for the pictorial decoration. Purpose of the studies of the three years is the learning of the various pictorial techniques, which are the fresco, the graffito, the chalcographic engraving. Advanced biennium: for people who decides to continue the studies, this ulterior biennium concurs to achieve the diploma of applied arts. During these two years, the artistic competences, already acquired, are deepened, applying them to the planning of pictorial decorations for environments and public structures. Constant is the connection of the Fantoni School with Agencies, Institutions, companies of the territory of the Province; this allows from a side to start to experience on the field concrete possibilities of applications of what has been learned, from the other one of having a first approach with the professional world, in order to guarantee a more satisfactory insertion into the labour market. THE CENTER OF PROFESSIONAL FORMATION Since the years 70's the Fantoni School has begun to dedicate itself to the professional formation with the awareness that, linking the professional field of education to the working one, was indispensable. The Centre of Professional Formation was born, thanks to the European funds, the Lombardy Region and the Province; it proposes free courses of opened formation of variable duration to young people with different characteristic according to the type of formative plans, graduates, or already occupied. For this reason the formative proposals are constantly updated and modified according to the young people's needs and the labour market, in order to supply the participants technical and practical acquaintances and the possibility, through stage business, of a first real approach with the world of the job. Everything is made in order to be possible a quick professional insertion according to the everyone's aptitudes. The advertising graphic, the interior design, the restoration are the fields on which currently our formative proposals are concentrated. Common characteristics of all the course of professional formation are: - final stage - Compulsory frequency for the participants - Strongly concentration on the transmission of competences (to know how to make) THE CONTACS WITH THE FOREIGN COUNTRIES By now from years the Fantoni School collaborates with the schools and foreign organisms of formation: every year some students of the Fantoni have the possibility, free of charge, to carry out a stage at the Chambre of apprentissage des industries de l'ameublement de Paris, while the Fantoni School accommodates students of this same school. Currently the Fantoni participates to a European project in collaboration with Sema and Confartigianato for the development of international mobility as far as arts and crafts are concerned. THE CERTIFICATION OF QUALITY Since September 2002 the Fantoni School has obtained the certification of quality ISO 9001/2000, to ulterior guarantee, not only of the level of the service offered in relation of all the aspects (didactic, secretary, emergency, equipments etc, but also of the real engagement and continuous improvement of the institution. THE JOBS ON THE FIELD Every year the students of the Fantoni have the possibility to start to experience on the field their competences. Many are the opportunities to which the school joins. Currently, for instance, a project of decoration of some associate-educated centres, dependent from the health services of bergamo of Bergamo, are to be achieved. This activity will engage the students starting from the sketches until the final execution. |
